This creamy mac and cheese gets an instant gourmet upgrade from Campbell’s Garlic Parmesan with Herbs Soup. Finished with buttery toasted breadcrumbs for irresistible texture and flavour.

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain.
  2. Return the pot to medium heat and whisk together the condensed soup and milk until smooth and bubbling.
  3. Reduce the heat to low; stir in the shredded Havarti until melted and creamy. Add crushed red pepper if desired. Fold the pasta into the sauce until well coated; keep warm over low heat.
  4. Meanwhile, in a small skillet melt the butter with the oil over medium heat. Add the breadcrumbs and toast until golden, about 2 minutes.
  5. Spoon mac and cheese into bowls, top with toasted breadcrumbs and parsley; serve immediately.

Recipe Tips

For extra flavour and texture, stir in cooked chicken, ground beef, or bacon. 

For extra richness, substitute half-and-half for the milk. 

Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for a hearty variation.
