Salsa Sloppy Joes

This kicked-up version of Sloppy Joes is easy to make and on the table in just 20 minutes. All you need is 5 ingredients and a skillet to make this family favourite. Pace® Chunky Salsa is the secret ingredient in this dish, adding bold flavour for a twist on this classic recipe.

  • 1 1/4 lb (567 g) ground beefor ground turkey
  • 2 cups (500 mL) PACE® Chunky Mild Salsaor Picante Sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) yellow mustard
  • 6 hamburger buns, split and toasted


  1. Cook the beef or turkey in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it's well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.
  2. Stir the Pace® Chunky Salsa, mustard and brown sugar into the skillet. Cook until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
  3. Divide the beef or turkey mixture evenly among the hamburger buns.
