This rich and creamy stew is sure to be a crowd pleaser.



  1. In a skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Cook onion until golden, about 6 minutes and season with salt and pepper. Transfer to the bowl of a slow cooker. 
  2. Add the chicken, mushrooms, garlic, bay leaves, thyme and broth and stir through. Cook on high for 10 hours.
  3. Stir in sour cream until well blended. Top with chopped parsley.

If desired, serve over warmed egg noodles.
