It’s summertime and what better way to enjoy the sunshine and the long days than a barbecue? Our bbq pork chops recipe is one of our favourite grilling recipes, coupled with our kale and apple slaw side dish. Set some time aside for marinating the pork chops — it’s so worth it! The glazed pork chops end up being so flavourful, tender, and juicy.

How to Make BBQ Pork Chops

  1. In a bowl, whisk together tomato soup, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, Dijon and minced garlic cloves. Remove 1/4 cup for the slaw. Coat the pork with the remaining soup marinade mixture. Cover the marinated pork chops and refrigerate for at least one hour and up to 2 days and discard marinade. 
  2. Cook pork chops over a greased grill on medium heat for about 5 minutes on one side. Then, flip and grill the other side for the same amount of time. Cook just until golden and crusty, about 1 minute per side. Transfer to a platter and cover loosely with foil. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving with slaw.
  3. How to Make Kale and Apple Slaw In a bowl, combine, kale, apple, carrot and onion. Toss with reserved marinade, mayonnaise and water.

Recipe Tips

For more seasoning, consider adding pepper flakes, cajun spices, and salt and pepper. Garnish with thyme or cilantro.
