Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb (227 g) whole beef sirloin steak
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) canola oil
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper
  • 1/4 lb (113 g) dry rice noodles
  • 1 carton (900 mL) CAMPBELL’S® Ready To Use Pho Broth
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) bean sprouts
  • 3 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) basil leaves, whole or roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) cilantro leaves, whole or roughly chopped
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges for garnish
  • Sriracha or other hot sauce (optional)

Directions

  1. Rub steak with oil on both sides; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a medium pan over medium-high. Sear steak for 1-2 minutes per side, or to desired doneness. Rest 5 minutes then slice very thinly across the grain. Set aside.
  3. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain, rinse in cold water and set aside.
  4. Heat broth until gently simmering. Evenly divide noodles between serving bowls; top with thinly sliced steak, vegetables and herbs.  Pour simmering broth over top.  Serve immediately with lime wedge and hot sauce, if desired.Heat broth until gently simmering.     Pho with siracha

    Was good with siracha added. Wish there was more broth.

    Looks nice but zero flavour

    No flavour at all, too bad. Would not make this again.

    Very bland

    Didn’t taste like pho. Very bland. Would not re-make this recipe
