Orange Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups (310 mL) CAMPBELL’S® 30% Less Sodium Ready to Use Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) cornstarch
  • 1 lb (454 g) boneless beef sirloin  grilling steak, cut into strips
  • 2 cups (500 mL) broccoli florets
  • 1 cup (250 mL) coarsely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) orange peel, cut in strips
  • 1/2 tsp (3 mL) ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 tbsp (23 mL) hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) soy sauce
  • Dash of crushed red pepper

Directions

  1. Mix broth with cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Stir-Fry beef in heated oil in large skillet until browned. Stir in broccoli, onion and garlic and stir-fry until tender-crisp.
  3. Add broth mixture and remaining ingredients. Cook and stir until mixture boils and thickens – about 5 minutes.

Recipe tips

Use just the outer,orange-coloured portion of the orange peel as a flavour accent since the inner white part may impart a bitter taste.

    Love this!! I added one chilli and used the juice from the orange in the broth and corn starch mixture!! So good and super easy/quick!
