  • 7 oz (198 g) hot Italian pork sausage meat (squeezed from sausage casings)
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cups (750 mL) CAMPBELL’S® 30% Less Sodium Ready to Use Chicken Broth
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 can no salt added diced tomatoes
  • 1 can no salt added white kidney beans, drained and rinsed


  1. Brown sausage meat in large non-stick skillet at medium-high heat.
  2. Add celery and onion. Cook and stir for 5 minutes. Stir in broth,thyme,tomatoes and beans. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low.
  3. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes,stirring occasionally.

Recipe tips

  • For a less spicy version,try a mild sausage.
  • Many stores carry sausage meat with no casing. Look for it and save a step.
