A simple, deliciously savory soup that pairs well with crusty bread or lightly salted crackers.



  1. In saucepan,heat butter over medium heat; cook onions and celery until tender.
  2. Add broth,potatoes and pepper; bring to boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Place half of the potato mixture and half of the milk into blender or food processor; cover and blend until smooth. Repeat with remaining potato mixture and milk; return to saucepan. Cook over low heat until heated through.

Recipe Tips

Season soup to taste with salt,if desired. Garnish with shredded cheese,green onions or crumbled bacon.
