Almond Rice Pilaf
Inspired by the flavours of Asia, this recipe is an elegant take on rice pilaf using almonds, soy sauce & green onions.
- Cook onions in heated oil in heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat for 1 minute,stirring often.
- Add rice,soy sauce and broth. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover.
- Simmer,stirring occasionally,for 10 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in almonds.
Add colour and contrast to the dish by adding diced red pepper or dried cranberries.
