Bacon Cheeseburger Rotini

The flavour of a bacon cheeseburger and a hearty, meaty pasta come together in this family-friendly weeknight meal. Switch up the veggies any way you like by using what you have on hand.

  • 1 lb (454 g) extra-lean  ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt and  black pepper (optional)
  • 1 can CAMPBELL'S® Condensed Cream of Bacon Soup
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) milk
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) shredded  Cheddar cheese
  • 5 cups (1.25 L) rotini (spiral) pasta (12 oz/336 g)
  • 2 cups (500 mL) small  broccoli flores
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) each  bacon bits and grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped  fresh parsley (optional)


  1. Cook ground beef in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up with spoon, 6 minutes until beef is no longer pink. Reduce heat to medium.
  2. Add garlic, oregano, salt and pepper, if using. Cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add soup, and milk; simmer, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes. Add Cheddar, stirring until melted.
  3. Meanwhile, cook rotini according to package directions adding broccoli in last 2 minutes of cooking time; drain and return to pot. Add soup mixture, stirring to coat. Sprinkle with bacon bits, Parmesan and parsley, if using.

Recipe tips

  • Replace the extra-lean ground beef with ground chicken or turkey, if desired.
  • The broccoli can be replaced with your favourite vegetable, such as thinly sliced carrots, frozen peas, chopped red pepper or cut-up green beans.
  • Top with added chopped tomato, minced red onions, ketchup, mustard, relish or any of your favourite burger toppings.
