Products you'll need:

CAMPBELL’S® Condensed 40% Less Sodium Cream of Mushroom Soup

CAMPBELL’S® Condensed 40% Less Sodium Cream of Mushroom Soup



  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped green and red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped celery
  • 1 can (284 mL)  CAMPBELL’S® Condensed 40% Less Sodium Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) milk
  • 2 cups (500 mL) cubed, cooked chicken
  • 1 cup (250 mL) frozen green peas
  • Dash ground black pepper
  • 4 cups (1 L) hot cooked white rice


  1. Heat oil at medium-high in large skillet. Add pepper and celery and stir fry until tender crisp. Reduce heat to medium.
  2. Stir in mixture of soup and milk. Add chicken, peas and pepper. Heat through, stirring occasionally. Serve over rice or pasta. If desired, garnish with fresh parsley.

    It was SO easy, quick and delicious. I left out the celery and added mushrooms and broccoli and it was GORGEOUS. I have made this twice this month and there are never any left overs.

    Made this last night. My husband and teenaged daughter loved it. They served it on toast (never heard of that!) I added 2 tbsp of Philly Cooking Cream for a little more creaminess. Will definitely make again!

    Good. Used it for a delivery to someone who needed a re-heat meal that only needed a roll to complete it. Took cooked rice separately to make life a little easier. This is great for a friend or relative that could use a hand and have concerns other than creating a hot meal.

    My family LOVES this and so do the neighbors! Tips: we like it best with both red and green peppers. NO peas. Substitute asparagus on the side. Always season the chicken when cooking. I use onion and garlic powder with a touch of Mrs.Dashb table blend. Best on a bed of basmati rice made with chicken broth instead of water. GREAT comfort food!

    I added different vegetables, chicken from chicken thighs and used seasoning to my chicken and it turned out great. I would make this again.

    My family has made this for years. We put carrots in instead of peppers since my daughter won't eat them and we've added corn as well. My husbands favourite is to add fresh grated mozzarella and parmesan on top.
